Green, Jr., MD, Medical Laboratory Science Program at The Valley Hospital prepares qualified individuals to enter the profession of medical technology/medical laboratory science with the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to achieve competence, and to demonstrate continued professionalism and growth throughout their careers. As a medical technologist/medical laboratory scientist, they will be trained to collect and process specimens and perform laboratory tests with accuracy and precision, ensuring that physicians have accurate data on which to base a diagnosis.
The curriculum will emphasize proficiency in the evaluation of clinical laboratory data in order to assess results and synthesize resolutions for both technical and non-technical issues. Through this experience, graduates will be prepared for future roles in clinical laboratory science, research, education and administration.
