The Valley Hospital is proud to announce that it is one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for 2024, according to new research released by Healthgrades. This achievement puts Valley in the top 2% of hospitals nationwide for overall clinical performance across the most common conditions and procedures.
This marks the second consecutive year that Valley has been named one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals, having also received this distinction in 2023. In addition, Valley is 1 of only 3 hospitals in New Jersey – and the only hospital in Bergen County – to earn a spot on this list.
Valley also ranked among the top three hospitals in New Jersey for Neurosciences and Stroke Care.
“We are honored to once again be recognized as one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals by Healthgrades,” said Audrey Meyers, CEO, Valley Health System. “This prestigious award for clinical outcomes demonstrates the importance we place on delivering the highest-quality care and service to our patients and their families.”
To determine the top hospitals for 2024, Healthgrades evaluated risk-adjusted mortality and complication rates for more than 30 conditions and procedures at approximately 4,500 hospitals nationwide. This year’s analysis revealed significant variation between America’s Best 100 Hospitals and hospitals that did not receive the distinction. In fact, from 2020-2022, if all hospitals, as a group, performed similarly to America’s 100 Best Hospitals, 180,413 lives could have been saved.*
“Healthgrades commends The Valley Hospital for their leadership and continued dedication to high quality care,” said Brad Bowman, MD, Chief Medical Officer and Head of Data Science at Healthgrades. “As one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals, The Valley Hospital is elevating the standard for quality care nationwide and ensuring superior outcomes for the patients in their community.”
