The Valley Hospital has been named one of the world’s best hospitals by Newsweek in its World’s Best Hospitals 2024 list.
Created by Statista, the World’s Best Hospitals 2024 ranking recognizes the best medical institutions across 30 countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, and more.
Valley was ranked among the top three hospitals in New Jersey and was ranked 137th in the country for 2024.
“We are honored to be considered among the best hospitals in the world,” said Audrey Meyers, Chief Executive Officer of Valley Health System. “Valley is committed to providing high-quality care and service to our patients and their families through our specialized programs and distinctive technologies, as well as through our partnerships with Cleveland Clinic’s Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute and the Mount Sinai Health System. This recognition is a testament to the innovative work of our doctors, nurses, and staff in delivering an exceptional patient experience.”
According to Newsweek, the hospitals recognized on the World’s Best Hospitals 2024 list were selected based on multiple comparability factors, such as standard of living/life expectancy, population size, number of hospitals, and data availability. Additionally, the results are based on four data sources including recommendations from medical professionals; patient survey results; hospital quality metrics; and PROMs implementation surveys, defined as standardized, validated questionnaires completed by patients to measure their perception of their functional well-being and quality of life.
